About the program

Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery is a two-year undergraduate certificate-level course in medical nursing. The program deals with healthcare components and prepares students to support individuals, families and communities so they may attain, maintain or recover optimal health and quality of life.

The course develops foundation-level skills in patient care, maternal health, health education and community nursing practice. Duration may vary by institute norms, often ranging from one to three academic years.

Eligibility

  • Applicant must have passed 12th standard (10+2) from Maharashtra State Board or an equivalent board.
  • Students from PCBE are preferred; arts and commerce students may be admitted based on merit.
  • Minimum 45% aggregate marks in HSC are expected.
  • 70% of total seats are reserved for girl students.
  • Married candidates can apply for admission.
  • Minimum age is 17 years and maximum age is 35 years.
