About the program
Post Basic B.Sc Nursing at Dr. Archanatai Gade Patil College of Nursing, Yavatmal started in academic year 2025-26 with a vision to provide quality nursing education for candidates from the Vidarbha region who have completed diploma-level nursing education.
The course is a full-time two-year degree program, including research work. It is designed for registered nurses who want to enhance knowledge and skills acquired during GNM.
Program outcome
The program prepares registered nurses for roles such as nurse clinician, ward supervisor, manager, nurse teacher and other healthcare responsibilities. It also provides a bridge for higher education in nursing.
Course outcomes
- Understand biological, social and behavioral sciences along with principles of nursing science.
- Demonstrate skills in therapeutic diet, biochemical assessment, advanced nursing practice, child health and maternal nursing care.
- Develop holistic care, communication, interpersonal relationship and health care delivery system understanding.
- Understand community health, teaching technologies, abnormal psychology and nursing administration.
- Demonstrate leadership, decision-making ability and integration of theory with practice.
- Appreciate ethical and legal values in personal and professional nursing life.
Eligibility
- No age limit.
- Candidate must be medically fit.
- RNRM registration from any State Nursing Council after GNM from an INC-recognized institute.
- No work experience after GNM is required.
- No parallel or simultaneous attendance in another course during Post Basic B.Sc Nursing.
